A lovely piece, circa 1820 and set in unmarked gold with black enamel banding and a glass panel containing a portrait miniature depicting a young girl in a pink dress.
The portrait is beautifully executed, but was probably added sometime after the ring was made, and may well have been painted specifically for the ring itself (Black enamel usually symbolises the remembrance of a male.)
The girl depicted is blonde with blue eyes and healthy pink cheeks. Her dress is pale pink with a lace collar.
It is in good condition for its age. The enamel and portrait are excellent.
